Pete (Buddy) the Foster Dog - Toledo Pet Photographer

This sweet guy is my new foster dog, Pete. He is one of the foster dogs from the Golden Retriever Rescue Resource (GRRR). Isn't he a cutie?

This sweet guy came to us from a Columbus, Ohio shelter on Friday. He was a stray, so not much is known about his history. The shelter named him Pete, but we call him "Buddy" because he is such a sweet guy.  Unfortunately, Buddy has some health issues. He is heartworm positive, and will have to undergo treatment before he can be adopted. He may have an allergy that is causing a skin condition, and he is a bit skinny. However, he is eating well and will soon be up to his recommended weight.

It seems this guy has had it rough for a while, but that hasn't gotten him down. He is a very sweet and gentle dog that loves to snuggle.  Buddy will make a wonderful pet.

This is quintessential Pete. His adorable smile is infectious!

The Golden Retriever Rescue Resource (GRRR) a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization serving the Toledo Ohio area, including all of Northwest Ohio, northeast Indiana and lower Michigan. To view other adoptable Goldens from GRRR click here.

Dakota the Foster Dog - Toledo Pet Photographer

This sweet girl is my foster dog, Dakota. She is one of the dogs from the Golden Retriever Rescue Resource (GRRR). Isn't she beautiful? This poor girl has lived outside most of her adult life. At the age of six she was surrendered by her owner because she was going off to college and the family could not care for her. The good news is that after spending a few months in foster care, Dakota is being placed in her forever home today!

There are so many wonderful dogs in the rescue that are still in of need homes. Please visit GRRR's website if you are considering adopting a dog.
